Technical Consulting
The technology choices made at the start of a project weigh on time, costs and risks for years
Our consulting is rooted in the operational experience of people who design, build and run software every day. We assess the current state of technology, define the architecture and stack best suited to your goals, analyze where it pays to build and where to integrate existing solutions, and design the solution all the way through to the implementation roadmap.
Services
We analyze codebase, infrastructure and technical debt, verifying the performance, security and scalability of the as-is.
We define architectural patterns and stacks based on workloads and constraints.
We compare custom development, integration of market solutions and open source components, assessing TCO and lock-in.
We specify application architecture, data model, API contracts and non-functional requirements as the basis for implementation.
We plan delivery by milestone, with technical dependencies, priorities and criteria for incremental release.
Frequently asked questions
We are starting a digital transformation project. How should we approach it?
These projects can sometimes be hard to frame at the outset. That is why we work as an embedded team, hand in hand with the Client and with a pragmatic approach: we start from the reality the business has to operate in, safeguarding business continuity. In a transformation the risks are many, and they don't concern technology choices alone: the most insidious is halting operations while migrating.
If you then handle development, is the consulting charged separately?
No. If we move forward together, the analysis isn't a document to be delivered and filed away: it becomes the operational foundation of development and is integrated with the other project steps; it is included in every step.
Does the team that defined the architecture also follow through on development?
Yes, and it is a guarantee more than a convenience: whoever makes an architectural decision is also accountable for it during implementation. Choices are put to the test by the people who made them, not reinterpreted by a team inheriting a document.
